DEMOLITION, REHABILITATION AND CHANGE OF USE OF A RURAL BUILDING
It is a building located in the municipality of Monzuno (side of the valley of the Savena), on two levels, including a ground floor for a stable for cattle and a barn on the first floor. The building was in poor condition because the structure had deep lesions at different points and the intermediate floor decking was partially collapsed.
The intervention project involved the demolition, reconstruction and change of intended use of the building in order to create two independent apartments inclasse “A” energy.
The materials and finishes provided in the reconstruction of the building are:
– coating of bearing walls in stone like “facing”;
– intermediate floor decking with warping primary and secondary wood;
– floor covering sloping beams, purlins, rafters and wooden;
– roofing clay tiles recovery;
– sheet metal sheet copper;
– padded and lintels of doors and windows in sandstone;
– wooden window frames and glazing,
all materials typical characteristic of the area and indicative of the settlement context and historical environment that characterized the formation.
